The political atmosphere in the country has been warmed again when Shiv Sena spokesperson and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut has strongly criticized Mehbooba Mufti’s statement and said that she should be arrested and sent to jail in Andaman for 10 years, after the statement given by the former Jammu Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti said she will not lift the tricolor and bring Article 370 back.
As per the reports Raut said, “Whether it is Farooq Abdullah or Mehbooba Mufti, if someone talks about taking China’s help to challenge India’s constitution, then they should be arrested and sent to Andaman for 10 years. How are they roaming free?”
The Shiv Sena leader Raut earlier too has attacked Mehbooba Mufti and said, “If Mehbooba Mufti, Farooq Abdullah and others want to implement Article 370 in Kashmir with the help of China, then the central government should take strict steps. If any person who wants to hoist the tricolor in Kashmir is stopped, I consider it ‘treason. “
Farooq Abdullah, the President of National Conference (NC) had also made repeated remarks in past few weeks about his demands for revocation of Article 370 and 35A in the valley.
Meanwhile, Mufti passed the statement after her first press conference on being released from her 14 months of detention said, “We will raise the Indian Tri-colour when we get Jammu and Kashmir’s flag back”. She added that until the restoration of Article 370, she won’t take part in any elections.”
After this a case has also been registered on Mufti, in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh.
