MIG 21 crashes in Rajasthan, Two pilots die

A MIG 21 plane of the Indian Airforce crashed in Rajasthan’s Barmer on Thursday evening leading to the death of two pilots.

According to media reports, at 9:10 pm on Thursday evening, an IAF MiG 21 trainer aircraft met with an accident in the western sector during a training sortie causing fatal injuries to both pilots.

The injured pilots succumbed to their injuries after which the IAF expressed regret over the loss of lives and said it stands firmly with the bereaved families.

A Court of Inquiry has been ordered to ascertain the cause of the accident, the Indian Air Force has said.
