Suspected militants on Friday morning opened fire upon a non local labourer in Pulwama district of South Kashmir.
Official sources said that a labourer from West Bengal identified as Muneer ul Islam was wounded when militants fired upon him in the Ugergund area of Pulwama district in south Kashmir.
They said that Muneer was shifted to the hospital, where he is undergoing treatment.
Police in a tweet said, “Terrorists fired upon one outside labourer Muneerul Islam S/O Abdul Karim R/O West Bengal at Ugergund Newa in #Pulwama. He has been shifted to district hospital Pulwama where his condition is stated to be stable. Area #cordoned off. Further details shall follow.”
