Minor boy drowns while bathing in Sopore Nallah

A tragic incident occurred in the Haritar area of Sopore where a minor drowned while bathing in Nallah Firozpora on Sunday afternoon.

Locals informed The Kashmiriyat that the young boy was swept away by the strong currents of the stream while bathing.

Upon receiving the report, a rescue operation was immediately launched by local authorities.

An official, speaking to The Kashmiriyat, confirmed the incident, stating, “Efforts are ongoing to locate and rescue the child identified as Ubaid Ahmad, son of Abdul Rashid, a resident of Gundjahgeer.”

As the rescue operation continues, the hopes and prayers of the community remain with the young boy and his family.
