Jitan Ram Manjhi, former chief minister of Bihar and the Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) president, raised questions over the photographs of PM Modi on the vaccination certificates. Manjhi happens to be an alliance partner with the NDA in Bihar.

On Monday, Manjhi took to Twitter to criticize the PM and wrote, “Prime Minister is taking credit for corona vaccination in the country, his photograph should also be printed on death certificates of those patients who died due to corona in the country. It will be the real justification.”

Manjhi had stated on Sunday that the photographs of the President or the respective CMs of the states should be printed on the vaccination certificates. Manjhi is a close ally of CM Nitish Kumar. He had fought the 2020 Bihar Assembly election on the seats allocated by JDU and won 4 seats.

The states ruled by the non-BJP subjects such as Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, and Rajasthan have claimed that they have bought the vaccines from other countries; hence, the respective CMs are taking credit for vaccination.

Manjhi’s objection is huge, given he’s close to Nitish Kumar. And for the fact that BJP is the single largest party in the current NDA government in Bihar, Nitish Kumar might not be able to take the credit for vaccination.
