Reacting sharply to the arrest of a woman and her daughter for raising slogans in the aftermath of the Rangreth shootout, the former Chief Minister of Jammu Kashmir, Mehbooba Mufti has said that the administration has dropped down to a new low.

In a tweet, the former chief minister of Jammu Kashmir and the president of People’s Democratic Party, Mehbooba Mufti said that the arrest of women marks a new low for the administration and the same is being one to please the master sitting in New Delhi.
“Arresting women in Kashmir marks a new low for the administration that persecutes civilians only to please their masters in Delhi. The situation is getting worse & instead of reaching out to the people, GOI is pushing them to the wall,” Mehbooba Mufti tweeted.

Earlier a mother and her daughter were arrested from their house in Rangreth area of Srinagar in Kashmir for raising “anti-National” slogans.
