An encounter has started between Government forces and militants at the Redwani Bala area in Quimoh of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Wednesday night.
An official told The Kashmiriyat that two to three Militants are believed to trapped at the site of the encounter in this Kulgam area.
Earlier The Kashmiriyat reported that the Government Forces had launched a cordon and search Operation following specific inputs about the presence of militants in the area.
The hiding Militants opened fire on the forces, when they were asked to surrender, the official said.
The operation is being jointly conducted by 1 RR of Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir Police and CRPF.
