The Government Forces raided various areas in South Kashmir’s Pulwama District late night on Monday and arrested at least nine boys from the area.
Locals speaking to The Kashmiriyat said that Government Forces late night on Monday broke into a few residential houses in Arigam, Arihal locality and arrested five boys from their houses.
The arrested have been identified as Tariq Ahmad Dar, Showkat Ahmad Rather, Muzaffar Ahmad Wani, Sabzar Ahmad Lone, Shakeel Ahmad Rather, Hilal Ahmad and , Bilal Ahmad Ganie, all residents of Arigam Pulwama.
The Government Forces have been conducting nocturnal raids in Kashmir since 2010 when an uprising began in the aftermath of killing of a teenage boy Tufail Ahmed Matoo and thousands of boys have been arrested from their houses in the dark of the night.
Sources in the Police said that the boys have been arrested for their role in stone throwing.
