‘None of Our Members Reached New Delhi, Seeking Apology,’ Says Hurriyat Led by Mirwaiz

After the revocation of Article 370 and 35A, the surprising news got out yesterday that “Srinagar based group of separatist has reached out to the central government with begging bowl, seeking apologies for their past activities, quoting ANN news.

However, The Kashmiriyat spoke to some of the prominent Hurriyat leaders Masroor Abass Ansari, and Professor Abdul Gani Bhat both categorically rejected this news.

Meanwhile, All Parties Hurriyat Conference led by incarcerated Mirwaiz Umar Farooq asked people to be wary of mischief mongers and agencies who are spreading false rumours through some media outlets that some APHC leader led by the Mirwaiz group has reached out to New Delhi asking for “apology “.

APHC reiterated its stand regarding the peaceful and just political resolution of the Kashmir dispute through dialogue as per the aspirations of its people and said it stands firm on its stand.

It further said it’s chairman has been illegally and arbitrarily detained at home for the past one and a half years by authorities and his basic human rights stand suspended all for advocating people’s aspirations.

Moreover, Masroor Abass Ansari a separatist leader told the Kashmiriyat that it’s nothing but merely propaganda.

“The separatist leaders are almost in jails, or under house detention,” He added.

He said that the chairman has been arbitrarily detained at home for the past one and a half years by authorities and his basic human rights stand suspended all for advocating people’s aspirations.
