Officials in Kreeri Baramulla in north Kashmir have called for the vacation of state land within three days.

A notice issued in Urdu by the concerned Tehsildar warned the “occupants” of the state land to vacate the land within three days. “Otherwise we will be forced to initiate action against the occupants,” the notice accessed by The Kashmiriyat read.

Meanwhile, a circular notified by the revenue officials in Anantnag has asked the people of Dooru to vacate from the state land including the Roshni land within a gap of seven days.

“You are asked to vacate the state land within seven days or else legal action will be initiated against those who have occupied the state land including the land granted under Roshni Act,” the Tehsildar warned the Dooru residents.

Earlier, on Wednesday revenue officials from Uri and Boniyar also warned locals to remove encroachments from state land within three days, warning of action in the other case.

The Jammu Kashmir administration has called upon the Deputy Commissioners of all the districts in Jammu Kashmir to remove the occupation over the state land by January 31.
