Omar Abdullah visits slain Amir’s home in Ramban

National Conference vice-president, Omar Abdullah on Saturday visited the family of Amir Magray, who was killed in an encounter in Hyderpora area of Srinagar last Monday.

Sources told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that Omar Abdullah visited Famrote village of Gool Block in Ramban to express sympathies with the family of Amir Magray.

Demanding handing over of the body of Amir to his family, he asked the government to expedite inquiry into Hyderpora killings.

Notably, Omar Abdullah is on a visit to Chenab Valley and is the first political leader to reach out to the family of Amir, who was killed in Hyderpora encounter.

Four persons were killed in an “encounter” in Hyderpora last Monday. The families of three of the slain said that their kin were innocent and killed in a staged encounter.

Omar Abdullah had also held a sit in protest demanding the dead bodies of the slain from Srinagar. (KNS)
