The news has come fore from Gaza that Israel has once again started bombing the Palestinian territory.
This is the first instance of bombing under the newly elected Israeli PM Bennet, who has been in the office for just 36 hours so far. This also happens to be the first incident of bombing after the ceasefire agreed upon by both.
According to the news, the Israeli war planes bombed the western and the southern Gaza territories late this Wednesday. The Israeli warplanes conducted about five raids on Khan Yunis city in Southern Gaza, and five more on Gaza city.
Earlier, in the day, the Israeli Settlers had organized a Flag March, also called the ‘Jerusalem Flag March’.
This annual celebration is a parade organized by the ultra-nationalist settlers, who march through Palestinian areas of Jerusalem towards the Western Wall. It is a celebration of Israel’s capture of Eastern part of Jerusalem after Six Day War of 1967, the Naksa for the Palestinians.
The parade was approved by the Knesset. The Jewish settlers marched through Jerusalem chanting ‘Death to Arabs’ during the daytime and ended the evening by bombing the Palestinian territories.
The march took place during highly tensed scenario. There was a heavy deployment of Israeli police, the roads were blocked and stun grenades were fired in order to remove the Palestinians from the main route.
Aftermath of which, 33 Palestinians were left injured and 17 people were arrested. The march had triggered a huge number of protest demonstrations in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
The Israeli Defence Force have said that its “fighter jets struck military compounds belonging to the Hamas terror organisation” in response to the “arson balloons.”
Also, adding that “facilities and meeting sites for terror operatives” in Khan Yunis were targeted. No casualties have been reported so far.
This latest incident of bombing has ended the Ceasefire agreement of Mary 21 which had brought end to the last month’s bombing of Gaza for 11 days continuously. As per the official figures, 260 people were left dead on the Palestinian territory while 13 Israeli lost their lives.
