PM Modi and HM Amit Shah bluffed RSS: Subramanian Swamy

Senior BJP leader Subramanian Swamy on monday asked if Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah were repeating a “Haren Pandeya” on him.

In addition, he said that Modi and Shah had “bluffed” everyone, including the top leaders of the RSS, the BJP’s parent organisation.

“I hope Modi & Shah are not planning a Haren Pandeya on me. If so I may have to alert my friends.” Swamy said in the tweet.

“Remember I give as good as I get. The duo have even bluffed those in the highest authority in RSS,” he said.

Even after being a part of the BJP, Subramanian Swamy is well known for criticising the saffron party. He has been outspoken about the problems with the Modi administration.

Several social media users raised their concerns about the tweet posted by Swamy, Muslim mirror reported.

“A Member of Parliament from the ruling party is accusing the PM and HM of murder?,” said Dushyant A, a columnist for NDTV and Times of India.

“This is open allegation by a very respected politician. Must be investigated. Not only conspiracies behind threats to his life but also did Modi and Shah murder Pandya?,” said Colonel Ajay Kr Singh.

Dr. SQR Illyas of the Welfare Party of India said,“ Inspite of your open support to Hindutva & the regime, Mr Swamy you fear…”.

Who Was Haren Pandya?

Haren Pandya was a former Gujarat Home Minister, he was assassinated on March 26, 2003, at around 7:40 am by two unknown gunmen who fired five bullets at him as he was finishing up his morning walk in the Law Gardens in Ahmedabad. For two hours, his body was left in his vehicle.

According to Wikipedia, there were numerous controversies surrounding his death, and top BJP figures like the then-chief minister of Gujarat; Narendra Modi, and the then-vice president of India, Lal Krishna Advani, came under intense scrutiny from the RSS because Pandya was a member of the organisation for being ignored and not receiving the proper security despite threats against him and his request for protection.
