Pertinently, the development comes days after a Kashmiri research scholar was allegedly attacked in the University. Protesters had hit the university in the aftermath of the incident.
The protesting students said some students of the university were playing badminton at 1 am and a Ph.D. scholar from Kashmir asked them not to disturb the students.
“The students who were playing badminton in anger started thrashing him. The matter didn’t end here, some more non-local students came in a group on the very next day and thrashed the Kashmiri students,” the protesters alleged.
