A headmaster at the Government Primary School in Koli Mohallah, located in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district, is facing serious allegations of physically assaulting a student.

The incident, reportedly involving a male student, allegedly took place in the classroom on November 4.

A formal complaint has been lodged with the Station House Officer (SHO) at Pethkoot and the Chief Education Officer (CEO) of Bandipora, calling for an investigation into the headmaster’s conduct.

According to the complaint, the headmaster has a history of similar behavior, regularly resorting to physical assault against students.

Parents of the affected student have come forward to share their concerns.

Reyaz Lone, the parent of the child, reported that his son described the incident, saying, “The headmaster struck me with a stick, hitting near my eye. When I told him it hurt, he instructed me to tell my family that the injury happened because I fell in the washroom.”

This claim has deepened concerns among parents about the headmaster’s actions and his approach to handling students.

Speaking to the The Kashmiriyat, Murtaza Baba, another parent, said, “My children study at this school, and we’ve received several complaints. My kids have told us that Nisar Sheikh doesn’t teach properly and is often busy with his own business.”

He further stated that teachers like this headmaster are jeopardizing their children’s future and urged the administration to take appropriate action.

Parents have appealed to the district administration and local police to conduct a thorough and impartial investigation, ensuring student safety and accountability within the educational institution.

The Kashmiriyat tried to get in touch with concerned officials regarding the incident. The story will be updated when and if we hear from them.
