Pertinently Rizvi has been making insulting remarks against the Prophet and his companions for a long. He also moved the Supreme Court seeking the removal of 26 verses from the Quran. The court rejected his petition and imposed a fine of Rs 50,000 on him.

Rizvi recently visited Dasna Devi temple in Ghaziabad, worshipped in front of idols and expressed his solidarity with the temple’s controversial priest Yati Narsinghanand Saraswati, who has been calling for the lynching of Muslims and openly advocated violence against Muslims. Rizvi said that he should be cremated as per the Hindu rituals.
