Youth members of Sikh community in Jammu Kashmir in a press release have condemned the harassment of Sikh youth under the pretext of ‘referendum 2020.’

In a press released to The Kashmiriyat, these youth have said that they follow the leadership of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) and Dal Khalsa who have said that there is no ground reality to referendum 2020 in Kashmir or elsewhere.

“It is a wrong propaganda on social media which has become a problem for Sikh activists in Jammu Kashmir,” Angad Singh Khalsa, a member of the Sikh community in Jammu Kashmir said.buy ivermectin UK www.bodybuildingestore.com/wp-content/languages/new/engl/ivermectin.html no prescription

He said the Sikh youth is united under the leadership of SAD and Dal Khalsa but both the organisations have denounced the propaganda of referendum 2020, calling it as fake.

Angat Singh, a Kashmiri Sikh youth, said that the Sikh youth of Jammu Kashmir are being harassed over the charges of supporting the referendum 2020, though they have clearly distanced themselves from the social media propaganda.

It is pertinent here to say that in 2015 many stories surfaced in the media that US based Sikhs are planning referendum in support of a separate state of Khalistan, but the Punjabi diaspora stood divided on it and many even went on to call the campaign as ‘a lost cause’, which they will not battle for.
