The operation was aimed at ensuring strict compliance with Department of Telecommunications (DoT) guidelines and preventing fraudulent issuance of SIM cards. Multiple police teams simultaneously inspected vendor outlets in different areas, checking customer records, Know Your Customer (KYC) documentation, and license compliance.
