Renowned south Kashmir artist seeks Government support to continue work

Mudasir Rehman Dar, Creative Abstract Artist, well known painter, famous for unique style of Contemporary Paintings.

Artist Mudasir Rehman, from Kulpora village of Kulgam District in suth Kashmir brought laurels to the valley after he became the first creative Artist from the region to be awarded in India Book Of Records and Asia Book Of Records.

Mudasir holds the world record for his unique art of painting the smallest painting of Holy Kabba and Masjid e Nabi on a ring stone.

Mudasir gained popularity using social media Platforms, but he did not learn this art from anyone. “I am God gifted,” Mudasir says.

His painting have received worldwide attention from countries like Bangladesh, Srilanka, USA, Africa, Dubai, UAE, Russia, as well as National level.

Mudasir says that in Amritsar there was an exhibition where my paintings were displayed. Even in Chandigarh, Mumbai, Delhi, Calcutta, Kerala, there was an art exhibition where M.F Hussains was handed over his art work.

“I have painted the world’s smallest painting of Holy Kabba and Masjid e Nabi, (Most sacred site in islam) on a ring stone, and a leaf and a pencil lead,” Mudasir Rehman Dar,” told The Kashmiriyat.

He said that he receives a lot of appreciation for his art, however, the support which is need to continue his art work is visible nowhere.”The government is nowhere in sight,” Mudasir said.

“Kashmiri youth are immensely talented but they lack platforms where they can showcase their talent and government must look into it seriously. My inspiration is really the pain and agony of the people that they are passing through everyday,” he said.
