Residents of Bhagwanpora in Srinagar Irked as Authorities Fail to Provide them Basic Amenities

The Srinagar Administration has spent hefty amount in the name of Smart City, but has miserably failed to deliver the basic facilities to the residents of Baghwanpora Lal Bazaar, Srinagar.

Baghwanpora Lal Bazaar area consists of number of Mohallas including Nawab Bagh , Boni Bagh, Behraar, Wani Mohalla and Hakim Mohalla.

The roads of the area lead to well known cherry park and Nigeen Lake but the condition of these lanes are so dilapidated that it’s difficult for the residents of area to pass through the roads and it becomes hard for the visitors to reach the park.

The residents of area have made multiple appeals to concerned authorities but nothing has been done till date.

Muhmmad Jaffer, the resident of area, told The Kashmiriyat that during Medical emergencies at night, they are unable to reach the medical vicinity on time.

Another resident, Zahid, said that the upcoming winter will make the situation worst if timely attention is not paid to the issue.

A Social activist from the area, Hakim Suhail Abbas Kashmiri, has appealed the concerned authorities to intervene and make all possible arrangements in removing the hurdles of residents before any untoward incidents take place.

The residents of area have requested the concerned authorities to macadamize the road as early as possible.

Ghamkhar, the local society, requested the administration for proper redressal of issues of the area.
