A municipal school in North Delhi has been renamed after Tika Lal Taploo, a Kashmiri Pandit who was shot dead 33 years ago in Srinagar.
A program was organized by the North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) on Sunday attended by Union Minister Jitendra Singh was present as the chief guest.
NDMC Education Committee head Dr. Alok Sharma said that the name of ‘NDMC Primary School 7-B’ located in Sector-7 of Rohini has been changed to ‘Shaheed Teeka Lal Taplu’.
“This is a tribute from our side to the late leader,” Dr. Alok Sharma, adding, “he was a unsung hero.”
