Second Covid Death in a Day in Jammu Kashmir- Toll Surges to 30

Covid19 is escalating at a fast pace, throughout Jammu Kashmir, with at least 2448 positive cases.

on Monday, The death toll due to Coronavirus in Jammu Kashmir has rose to 30 with the death of a 73 year old man from Doda district of the Kashmir valley.

Medical Superintendent, Dara Singh from Government Medical College in Jammu, informed The Kashmiriyat that a 73 year old- man from the Doda area of Chenab valley, was referred to GMC, the last week.

The patient suffering from multiple ailments, passed away after he was tested corona positive, Dara Singh told The Kashmiriyat.

The death marks the first one from Chenab valley.

So far Srinagar district has highest number of the fatalities at seven followed, Baramulla and Anantnag with five deaths, while Kulgam has reported four deaths, each while Budgam, Jammu have two each and one death each has been reported from Bandipora and Udhampur.

Earlier a patient from Shopian, had passed away in a Srinagar hospital after being tested positive.
