Paying rich tributes to the senior journalist on his second death anniversary, various poets, journalists, scholars and socio-political leaders gathered at the event called to commemorate the memory of Maqbool Veeray.
Describing the late Maqbool Veeray, the speakers said that the deceased was a thorough gentleman who set the path for new journalists to flourish with enthusiasm and expertise.
Remembering his contributions as a writer, poet and fearless journalist, they said Veeray remained at the forefront to highlight public issues through Sharbeen on radio and print media as well.
The deceased was also the founder of Sachnews Jammu Kashmir as well.
Praying for eternal peace to his soul, the participants said that his departure caused a severe void in the field of journalism which can never be filled.
