Second knife attack in Kashmir within 24 hours, youth injured

Hours after the knife attack incident, another similar attack was reported in central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Friday sources said.

Sources told News Agency Kashmir Scroll that in a fresh knife attack case, a youth identified as Shafat Ahmad of Mundir Bagh area of Srinagar was injured by unknown persons who attacked him with a knife.

However, he was immediately taken to a nearby hospital for advanced treatment.

A police officer told News Agency Kashmir Scroll that we are verifying the facts about this knife incident.

Pertinently, on Thursday evening, a youth identified as Muneer Ahmad Dar, son of Ghulam Qadir Dar, a resident of Bumhama Kupwara, was injured after being stabbed with a sharp-edged weapon near Baber line.

He was later hospitalized at GMC Baramulla for advanced treatment. (KS)
