Government forces have killed a second militant in an ongoing gunfight in the Akhnoor area of Jammu, reports confirmed on Tuesday.
The encounter began yesterday after militants opened fire on an army convoy in the region.
Officials initially reported no casualties or injuries on the side of the security forces, though one militant was killed in the firefight following the attack.
As of the latest updates, security forces believe a total of three militants are involved, and the operation is still underway to neutralize the remaining militant(s).
The area remains cordoned off as the operation continues. Further updates are awaited.
