In an annual tradition of meeting up before the Milad un Nabi rally, the Seerat committee has announced the route of the Milad rally in Anantnag and other guidelines.
A member of the committee spoke to The Kashmiriyat said that on Friday the rally would commence from the Khanqah of Hazrat Baba Hyder Reshi at around 10 AM and then commence marching towards Mattan Chowk and will follow its traditional route to KP road via Kadipora and Sarnal.
He said that the rally would then proceed to Mattan Chowk again via Dak Khana and Iqbal Market. “Then the marchers would proceed to Shirpora via Sherbagh and Cheeni Chowk. From Shirpora, the raly would march back to Cheeni Chowk via Janglat Mandi and Khah Bazar. The rally would culminate outside Martyrs graveyard of Anantnag in Reshi Bazar,” he said.
He appealed the Police, Municipal council and the administration to make adequate arrangements for the rally including the traffic management “A traffic advisory must be issued and circulated well on all media forums so that people are not troubled, in case of emergencies,” he said.
Appealing the people to follow a proper Islamic way during the rally, the Committee also issued guidelines. They said that there must be no intermingling of genders during the rally. “People must stay hydrated and watch the road carefully,” said the committee.
Those who come along with their children should watch for their children and not allow them to get away too far, they said. They also advised people to not carry any loudspeakers with them.
“After the culmination of the rally, the congregational prayers would be offered at Jamia Masjid of Anantnag,” the committee announced.
