On Friday, the Supreme Court, while responding to the petition of Nupur Sharma’s advocate, who demanded a transfer of all the cases registered against the BJP leader to New Delhi, said that her statement against the Prophet led to an outburst.

The Supreme court observed that the BJP leader’s remarks against Prophet Muhammad led to an outburst that is responsible for the unfortunate incident at Udaipur, where a tailor was murdered.

“She has a threat or she has become a security threat? The way she has ignited emotions across the country, this lady is single-handedly responsible for what is happening in the country,” the Supreme court observed.

The court also said that she and her “loose tongue” have set the entire country on fire.

The Supreme court also took a notice of the venom and communal debates on TV channels asking, “What is the business of the TV channel and Nupur Sharma to discuss the matter which is sub-judice, except to promote an agenda?”

“What if she is the spokesperson of a party?  She thinks she has backup power and makes any statement without respect to the law of the land,” the Supreme court asked.

“When you register an FIR against someone, they are arrested but not you. This shows your clout,” the Supreme court noticed while rejecting the petition for the transfer of cases to Delhi.
