The Inspector-General of Jammu Kashmir Police for Kashmir Zone Vijay Kumar on Friday said that calling and mobile internet services will be restored in the Kashmir valley on Friday Night.
“So far the situation has remained peaceful & under control. Mobile service (voice call) and broadband of all TSPs shall open from today evening at 10 pm,” the IGP Kashmir stated.
He also thanked the public for their “cooperation in maintaining law & order.”
Pertinently, restrictions were placed on telecommunication services including calling and internet after the demise of Hurriyat leader, Syed Ali Shah Geelani on Wednesday night.
Curfew-like restrictions were placed across the valley immediately after his death.
