The dead body of Gurmeet Singh, a senior Government official with the Roads and Buildings Department of Jammu Kashmir who had been missing since August 25 has been found in Gantamulla area of Barmulla.
“He left home on August 25, around 6 P.M. for some work after which he did not return home till 9 P.M., that caused panic among his family members, We (family) along with neighbours, friends, colleagues, and police started to search for him everywhere including a hospital,” a family member had told The Kashmiriyat.
During the search, his colleagues found his vehicle (wagonR) near a riverside Sheeri in Baramulla. “Inside his locked vehicle, his phone too was found on flight mode,” the family members told The Kashmiriyat over the phone.
The family lodged a missing report at the concerned Police station after which SDRF and Police teams started searches to trace the missing person.
On Tuesday morning, his body was found near the LJHP barrage in Baramulla, which is nearly six kilometers from Sheeri, where his car was found on the night of August 25.
