After six years, the overhead railway pass on Srinagar- Jammu highway in Anantnag district is far from completion.

As per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), due to unavailability of the overhead railway pass at Shoul Batengoo Anantnag, thousands of passengers suffer on the daily basis.

The national highway-44 was thrown open for traffic in 2017 and the construction of an overhead railway pass was going on. But since then about six years have passed but it is nowhere near completion, said an official.

Locals said that every day long traffic jams are witnessed at the spot when trains crosses the area.

Aafaq Ahmad, a local said traffic is halted every day at least 10-12 times a day causing inconvenience to people especially patients and school going children.

Locals requested the higher ups to look into the matter at the earliest—(KNO)
