Speedy vehicle crushes 60 sheep to death, injures two shepherds

A speedy vehicle has crushed 60 sheep to death, and leaving 40 others injured in Kulgam district of south Kashmir.

Officials told The Kashmiriyat that a flock of sheep were hit by a speedy tempo bearing the number JK01U 2108 near Khudwani on the national highway late on Friday night.

They said that in the incident at least 60 sheep lost their lives while 40 more were injured.

He said that two members of the flock owners were also injured in the incident who have been hospitalized.

He said that police have taken cognizance of the incident by registering FIR and driver has been arrested while further investigation has been taken up.

The injured were identified as Riyaz Ahmad aged 25 son of Mohammed  Ashraf resident of Lammar Kolinnar and Nazir Ahmad (50) resident of Gangdaar Lammar were immediately taken to nearby hospital.
