A short film ‘Ayesha’ produced by the department of Journalism GCW M.A road Srinagar won first prize in film competition at Media Festival Baramulla, on Wednesday.
‘Ayesha’–a short film focuses on how Art therapy can prove beneficial for people suffering from anxiety, depression. It was scripted, shot, directed and produced by the students of Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Government College for Women M. A road Srinagar.
Day-long media festival was organised on 21th September by the Department of Media Studies Government Degree College (GDC) Baramulla in College campus on Wednesday.
The media institutions from Kashmir and other states and independent media professionals participated in the event.
HOD of Media Studies department, GDC Baramulla, Dr Danish Nabi said that “The Media Festival aimed to provide a platform for professional multimedia media students to showcase their work in front of media professionals discerning juries.”
The event saw an enthusiastic gathering, including students from Govt College for Women M A Road Srinagar, Govt Degree College Anantnag, Kashmir University, Cluster University Srinagar, and students from different higher institutions of Baramulla.
The Media Festival spanned a day filled with creative expressions, including the screening of approximately 8 films produced by students of media institutions of Kashmir valley and beyond.
