A Stationary shop in the Panzgam area in the Pulwama district of South Kashmir was gutted in fire on Friday afternoon.
Locals informed The Kashmiriyat that Stationary items worth lakhs of rupees got damaged in the fire incident.
Short-circuiting was stated to be the reason behind the incident.
Owner of the shop Feroz Ahmad told The Kashmiriyat that he does not have any source of livelihood as a small short circuit has turned all his dreams into ashes.
He requested the authorities to compensate the loss, so that he may start his shop again.
