Stray Dog On Prowl in Anantnag Villages, 12 People Bitten in Two Days

A stray dog attacked and injured at least one dozen people in Palpora, Ganiepora, Ara-Koshipora, and Damhal Villages of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district, on Tuesday.

Speaking to The Kashmiriyat, the locals said that a stray dog appeared and attacked dozen of people in a single day in different villages and has spread a reign of terror in the villages.

The injured were shifted to District Hospital and were given anti-rabies vaccine (ARV), they said.

Locals of the area have said that they have stopped sending their children out of their homes due to the fear of the stray dog in the village, who has attacked several people in the past couple of days.

The locals have appealed to the authorities to act against the increasing population of stray dogs.
