Rahul Gandhi on a Two Day Visit to Flood Hit Kerala

August 28 The Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday visited the flood hit Kerala and met the affected people. Rahul who is on a two-day visit to the flood hit Kerala had appealed the Central government to provide help to flood-hit Kerala. On Tuesday, Rahul met flood-affected people at Chengannur and is also scheduled to visit flood-hit regions including Alappuzha and Angamaly later in the day. He will also visit flood-affected areas on Wednesday. 265 were killed in the floods that hit the state on 8 August, while 36 people are still missing, according to the latest government figure.

Kerala Flood- At least 100 Feared to be Dead

August 17 The incessant rains and floods continued to wreak havoc in Kerala with the death toll due to the worst flooding in nearly a century crossing 100 and Many are feared missing. Pathanamthitta district in central Kerala continued to be the worst affected in the last 24 hours as thousands of people are trapped in their homes in the towns of Ranni, Aranmula and Kozhencherry.
