Teenage girl allegedly commits suicide in Srinagar, 3rd case in less than four days

A 14-year-old girl allegedly committed suicide in a rented house in Srinagar outskirts.

Official sources told the news agency Kashmir News Trust that a teenage girl from Kargil (name withheld) who was currently residing in the Illahi Bagh Buchpora area at a rented house hung herself.

She was immediately shifted to SKIMS Soura where doctors declared her dead.

Police in this regard has registered a case under relevant sections of law.

Pertinently, this is the third suicide case reported in less than four days in the Kashmir valley.

Earlier, on Thursday, a 21-year-old girl allegedly hanged self to death in the Trikolbal village of Pattan in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

On Wednesday, a 27-year-old youth hanged self to death in Hib Dangerpora village in Sopore
