Tehsildar Chair Vacant in Singhpora Tehsil, People Suffer

The seat of tehsildar is vacant since last few months in Singhpora area of Pattan Baramulla in north Kashmir which is forcing people to suffer.

People of the area said that due to unavailability of Tehsildar they are suffering badly as the people of the area are applying for domicile and other documents.

“There is a Tehsil office in Singhpora but no Tehsildar due to which people are suffering”, a local Hilal Ahmad said

“We the labors are wasting our precious time every day to apply for Income, Domicile and other documents but due to the unavailability of Tehsildar it takes time to get completed “, said another local

The Kashmiriyat found that Nisar Ahmad Awan who was Tehsildar Singhpora, has been transferred and posted as Tehsildar Chrar-i-Sharif vide order no. 39-JK(Rev) of 2021 dated 21/05/2021.

In the same order government gave additional charge of Tehsil Singhpora to then Tehsildar Pattan sheikh salah-ud-din.

After approx 3 months the Tehsildar Pattan Sheikh Salahu-ud-din was attached in the office of Financial Commissioner, Revenue, J&K, Srinagar and Tehsildar Kreeri Mubashir Amin was given additional charge of Tehsil Pattan and Tehsil Singhpora vide order no. 50-JK(Rev) 2021 dated 02/08/2021.

It is pertinent to mention here that the Tehsildar Kreeri Mubashir Amin is presently heading three tehsils, one Kreeri and the additional charge of Pattan and Singhpora.

General public of tehsil Singhpora appeals Lt Governor J&K and other higher authorities to redress their genuine issue as soon as possible.
