In an overnight burglary attempt, thieves targeted a cash-laden ATM machine in Arreh village of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district, officials reported on Tuesday.
According to authorities, the culprits used a cutter in an attempt to steal money from the ATM. However, their efforts were unsuccessful, and the stolen cash remained safe
“The ATM has sustained some damage, but fortunately, the cash is secure,” an official stated.
Police have swiftly taken cognizance of the incident, and an investigation is now underway.
A forensic team has been dispatched to collect evidence, and CCTV footage from the area is being thoroughly examined.
