According to a Police Press release issued to The Kashmiriyat Awantipora Police along with 42 RR and 180 BN CRPF launched a search operation in village Batagund and Dadsara Tral on Wednesday afternoon.
During the search operation, one Militant module of three associates of proscribed outfit Hizb-ul–Mujahideen was arrested. The arrested are involved in providing shelter, logistics and transportation of arms/ ammunition to the HM Militants in Tral and Awantipora area.
During on-spot questioning of the arrested the trio, following IED material was recovered from the house of one of the arrested at village Dadsara.
The recovered material includes Electric Detonator = 08, Anti Mechanism Switches = 07, Pressure Switches/Relay Mechanism Switches = 03, Improvised Switch = 01and nti Mine Wireless Antenna = 01
The arrested have been identified as Shafat Ahmad Sofi R/o Batagund, Majid Mohammad Bhat R/o Dadsara and Umer Rashid Wani R/o Dadsara.
Police have registered a Case under FIR number 09/2021 against the arrested in Police Station Tral under relevant sections of law.
