Told PM Modi that Kashmir is Against the August 05 Decision: PAGD

After a more than three-hour-long meeting between Jammu Kashmir political leaders and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad said five demands that include grant statehood soon, conduct Assembly elections to restore democracy, rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits in J&K, all political detainees should be released and on domicile rules were put forward by the Congress.

Omar Abdullah of the National Conference said that they told Prime Minister Narendra Modi that the people of Jammu Kashmir do not accept the unilateral decisions made on August 05, 2019. He said that the people of Jammu Kashmir will not budge down on the restoration of 370. “we will fight for the restoration of Article 370, but will not take the law in our own hands,” the Vice president of the National Conference told the press here.

The people of Jammu Kashmir stand against the decision to demote the erstwhile state of Jammu Kashmir into two Union Territories. “People of Kashmir want the restoration of full statehood,” Omar Abdullah said while addressing a press conference.

He said that Farooq Abdullah told PM Modi that there is a huge mistrust among people and the Central Government in India. “This needs threadbare discussions, it will not end in a single meet.”

It is sad that Jammu Kashmir has been singled out for the process of delimitation, Omar Abdullah said. “It is unfortunate that Jammu Kashmir has been singled out for the process of delimitation.” He said that National Conference will not participate in the delimitation process.

Mehbooba Mufti

Mehbooba Mufti addressing the press said, “The illegal decision was taken on 05 August 2019 will not be accepted by the people of Jammu Kashmir.” She said that she told PM Modi that the people of Kashmir will fight tooth and nail for the restoration of Article 370.

“The trade between India and Pakistan should be restored as hundreds of people are dependent on the business,” Mehbooba told PM Modi. “Journalists are being booked for their reportage, i told PM Modi this was just unacceptable, we want such brutal tactics to stop.”

“I told PM Modi that Kashmiris need to be granted their right to freedom of expression if anyone speaks he or she is booked under UAPA, we want such brutal tactics against Kashmiris to stop and all political prisoners to be released, “the PDP President told press here. She said that she told Prime Minister that Kashmir’s minerals are being looted and our jobs are being stolen, Kashmiris want policies that stop his loot of our resources and jobs.
