The residents of Dar Ganie Gund Village of Tral area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district are up in arms and staged a protest on Wednesday against the failure of Public Health Engineering (PHE) department in providing drinking water to residents.
The protesters which included men and women said they had been facing shortage of water from last couple of days.
With the onset of winter season and Chilai Kalan, the condition and service of PHE department has changed from bad to worse.”where we will go in these chilly days and nights”, said group of locals of Dar Ganie Gund Village.
Some protesters alleged that they have brought the matter into the notice of concerned authorities but nothing has been done to restore water supply in the area as of now.
