The Jammu Kashmir Police on Friday claimed to have arrested two persons for kidnaping and raping two minor girls in Srinagar.
Police said that the duo had kidnapped and then sexually assaulted two minor girls who were aged 12 and thirteen.
In a tweet Police said, “2 accused Hilal Rather(24) R/o Haygam, Sopore & Shabir Mir (30)R/o Kreeri Baramulla arrested for kidnapping & sexually assaulting 2 minor girls of 12 & 13 yrs, who were rescued. FIR No 41/2023 U/s 363, 376 IPC & 3/4 POCSO Act at Lal bazaar PS.”
