The Jammu Kashmir Police claimed to have arrested two bootleggers in Bandipora and recovered 14 bottles of illicit liquor from their possession.
According to a Police statement, Acting on specific information, a police party led by SHO PS Argam Insp Masood ul Hassan under the supervision of DySP PC Bandipora Faizan Ali at a checkpoint established at Wullar Vantage Garoora Aragam intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number JK15A-4850 with two persons on board.
They have been identified as Sajad Ahmad Beigh @Shahzad and Mohd Mustafa Beigh both residents of Guzarbal Bankoot Bandipora.
During the search, officers were able to recover 14 bottles of illicit liquor from their possession.

Accordingly, a case FIR No. 01/2022 under relevant sections of law has been registered in PS Argam and investigation into the matter has been initiated.
