Two mild earthquakes rattled Kishtwar district of Jammu Kashmir, but no damage was immediately reported due to the tremors.
The epicenter of both quakes that took place on Friday was located in Kishtwar.
According to the National Centre of Seismology (NCS), an earthquake of 3.2 magnitude occurred in Kishtwar at 11:01 pm.
According to the National Seismic Center (NCS), an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.8 struck at 5:20 pm. The epicenter was located at 33.34 degrees latitude and 76.62 degrees longitude, with a depth of 10 kilometers below the earth’s surface.
Another seismic event of similar magnitude occurred with its epicenter positioned at 33.37 degrees latitude and 76.69 degrees longitude. Its depth was also recorded at 10 kilometers below the earth’s surface, as reported by the NCS.
