The Jammu Kashmir Police said that it arrested two active Lashkar militants in central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Monday.
In a press release, the Police spokesman said that Police along with 62 RR arrested two active militants of proscribed Lashkar-e-Toiba from the Sunnergund area of Budgam.
The arrested militants were identified by Police as have been identified as Waseem Ahmad Ganai resident of Ramnagri Shopian and Iqbal Ashraf Sheikh resident of Sedow Shopian.
The Police said that incriminating material of proscribed outfit LeT along with arms/ammunition have been recovered from their possession which includes one Chinese Pistol, two Pistol magazines, Pistol rounds 12 and AK-47 rounds 32.
A Case has been registered under FIR number 87/2022 under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Budgam.
