Two militants have been killed in an ongoing encounter that broke out between government forces and militants, in Killora area of Shopian in South Kashmir.
An official told The Kashmiriyat that two militants were killed in the initial exchange of fire, while the operation in the area is still in process.
A police officer also confirmed the killing of two militants in the ongoing gunfight, he however said that the identification of both slain militants is yet to be ascertained.
Earlier in the day, a joint team of Army’s 44RR, SOG and CRPF sealed Kiloora in Shopian following inputs about presence of militants.
