Dr. Gulzar who has been treating patients for several years in south Kashmir’s Anantnag town, has turned out to be a fake doctor.

A sting operation conducted by senior Kashmiri journalist Sajad Muniwari revealed that the doctor, whose prescription letters reads that Dr. Gulzar holds an MBBS and an MD degree from PGI Chandigarh, and also claims that the said doctor was a senior gastroenterologist, turned out to be a bogus doctor.

Sajad, in his report also claimed that the doctor during the operation confessed having tempered his degrees. “He was trying to bribe me saying that he comes from Srinagar and will not see patients anywhere in Anantnag now,” the senior journalist said in his report, claiming that this was captured on camera.

Meanwhile Dr. Bari Naik, a former professor, who was terminated by the Jammu Kashmir admin over ‘anti national charges’, spoke to The Kashmiriyat and said that the doctor was practising at private clinics in three districts, in Ganderbal, Anantnag and Srinagar.

“I myself went to the clinic as a patient and the registration number he has provided belong to someone else. I checked all the degrees were bogus,” he said.

Dr. Bari Naik said that the doctor has been interviewed by servral media outlets in Kashmir. “It is unfortunate that Greater Kashmir like media outlets have run his advertisements,” the former professor claimed.

He was practising at two places in Srinagar, Hawal and Nowshera, in Ganderbal and he was also working at Mehman Mohallah in Anantnag town, said Dr. Bari Naik.
