Unknown persons fired at one Dhaba owner in Durga Nag area of Sonwar area in Srinagar area of Central Kashmir.
An official told The Kashmiriyat that unknown persons fired at Krishna Dhaba and fired a volley of bullets towards the owner of the shop, who received critical injuries in the firing incident.
Soon the Muslim population around the area rushed to help the injured and evacuated him to the nearby hospital.
Locals from Sonwar told The Kashmiriyat that they heard gunshots from the area and rushed out of their homes upon hearing that Aakash Mehra son of the Dhaba owner Rakesh Mehra had been injured in the incident.
Neighbors in large numbers rushed him to the hospital, however, his condition is said to be critical. “The Family has never been harmed, they have been living here for many decades now, we invite them to our homes for celebrations and they also visit our houses often.”
Hospital officials upon being contacted told The Kashmiriyat that the youth has received a bullet in his chest and is being operated at the Trauma ward.
Meanwhile, a cordon and search operation has been launched in the area to nab the attackers.
