A bank guard was wounded after an unknown person fired upon him at Murran chowk of Pulwama district in south Kashmir.
An official told The Kashmiriyat that suspected militants fired upon an employee of Jammu Kashmir Bank on Thursday afternoon, causing injuries to him.
The employee identified as Reports Abdul Hameed Wani, a resident of Tahab area in Pulwama was shifted to the Pulwama district hospital for treatment.
Hameed was posted as a guard in the TP Branch of Pulwama, as per the officials.
Meanwhile, the Government forces have reached the spot and launched a search operation in the area to nab the attackers.
