The photograph which bagged the title for Wajid lone was ‘Boy standing on a majestic mountain rock in Najwan Marag (meadow) with breath taking scene all – around mountains and pines”.
Expressing his jubilation Wajid Said, “It is an honour for me and it just the start. We have immense scope of nature photography here. Kashmir Valley is bestowed with beautiful scenic views and palaces. My efforts are to capture nature and bring them to larger people in and outside Valley.”
Wajid lone is a Journalism student in Cluster University of Srinagar. His niche area is wildlife photography and for the submission he has captured wild fauna never captured before here.
The announcement of the contest was made on 92.7 FM Srinagar, Kashmir.
Wajid Lone won ‘Photography without borders’ and the photograph sent by him was announced as photo of the week in Jhelum photography contest.
Wajid said, “I want to compete in Nature photography contests at national and international level. It is difficult because you have to visit places around the world to get the best. Despite challenges I will give my best to excel”.
